years as Coordinator or Department Head of ESL, and English
in the Workplace at Alberta Vocational College (now Bow
Valley College), Calgary and Norquest College, Edmonton.
Eight
years as full-time instructor of ESL to adults at Bow Valley
College and two years as substitute ESL teacher at Okanagan
College, Kelowna.

An
area in which Dini has always shown significant leadership
is in fostering a sense of professionalism among staff.
During this appraisal period she arranged frequent
workshops on teaching pronunciation, skill-based curriculum,
teacher certification procedures, techniques for teaching
reading and writing, instrumental enrichment, and
many others. Dini is the past president of ATESL and
maintains an active role in that organization. Dini
shows a level of dedication and professionalism that
is exceptional.
